ABOUT.

Azuma studio was born from my background as an architect and my lifelong passion for art, design and photography. Inspired by the balance between structure and emotion, I explore creativity through watercolor, illustration and graphic design.

Azuma studio was founded out of a dual background: architecture on one hand, and a long-standing dedication to art, design, and photography on the other. This mix shapes the way I approach every project — with the rigor and structure of architectural thinking combined with the freedom and experimentation of artistic practice. From an early age, I’ve been drawn to exploring how different mediums can speak to each other, and Azuma Studio has become the place where those interests converge.

The name Azuma comes from Tadao Ando’s “Azuma House,” a work that left a deep mark on my architectural education. It embodies a balance between precision and emotion that continues to guide me. In practice, this translates into projects that range from watercolor illustrations and wedding stationery to branding, editorial design, and custom collaborations. What links them together is the search for clarity, thoughtful composition, and a visual language that adapts to each context.

Beyond techniques or aesthetics, what drives Azuma Studio is curiosity and the willingness to experiment. Each project is a chance to test new ideas, merge disciplines, and translate abstract concepts into concrete visual forms. This process-oriented approach is what keeps the work dynamic and diverse — whether creating a bespoke artwork for a private client or shaping a visual identity for a brand. At its core, Azuma Studio is about designing with intention, while leaving room for discovery.
